Granted I would love to oblige by the rules and respect the spirit of the game and the league we play in, but the truth of the matter is that Derek and Shawn have played in more games than a large number of people on our roster. I'd rather stretch the rules a bit and actually have 6 players show up to play then go to the facility and see Kei is the only guy there (God rest his soul) at 10:57 p.m., as happened two weeks ago. I think you have to take Paul's words with a grain of salt when he refers to them as "ringers", no disrespect intended but we haven't exactly been tearing up the competition with Shawn and Derek on the field.</FONT></SPAN></DIV>

I know the idea of a phone list has been brought up and I think it's a fricken great idea, but I don't have time to be calling up everyone on gameday to see if they are coming. I don't even have time to be writing this damn email. Everyone should know that we have a game every week, and an email goes out before every game to see who will be there... </FONT></SPAN></DIV>

<P>Then we forfeit the game and play. Everyone who did pay to be on the roster agreed to come out and play. This isn't a park ball game where we can invite friends or friend's of friends; we <STRONG><EM><U>ARE</U></EM></STRONG> playing in a league even though most people on our team do not take it seriously or acknowledge their obligations.<BR><BR>Commonly, if a team doesn't have enough player, we borrow players from the other team and play. It isn't fair, even though we always lose, to include stats from people who don't belong on the team or in the league.</P>
<P>Saying that, I appreciate their commitment and paul's effort. I'm just outlining rules we're obligated to.<BR></P></DIV>
